Kabul — Kauser News Agency has received formal complaints from Afghan communities overseas regarding the online activities of a YouTube content creator known as Afghan Insider, operated by Mr. Waris.

According to interviews conducted by Kauser News Agency with members of the Afghan diaspora in Europe and the United States, Mr. Waris has been accused of making remarks that many view as offensive to Islamic values. Allegations include insulting Islamic teachings, promoting relationships outside of marriage by encouraging audiences to have both a wife and a girlfriend, and providing online commentary on divorce procedures that critics describe as socially disruptive.
Community members stressed that such content undermines cultural and religious sensitivities within Afghan society. Several Afghan expatriates expressed concern that these messages may negatively influence young Afghans who follow social media trends.
In response, Afghan diaspora groups have collectively appealed to the authorities of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban government) to investigate Mr. Waris’s conduct. They argue that his content is inconsistent with the moral and religious principles of Afghan society and should be reviewed under relevant laws.
This case highlights the growing tension between global Afghan communities and online influencers who use digital platforms to promote controversial ideas. While some Afghans view such content as freedom of expression, others see it as a violation of deeply held traditions and faith.
The Taliban authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the complaints.
