Kauser News Agency has received formal appeals from families in Afghanistan’s eastern provinces requesting humanitarian support from the United States following a devastating 6.2-magnitude earthquake.
Kauser News Agency reporting team visited Kunar and Jalalabad provinces to assess the situation. According to field reports, the disaster claimed over 1,900 lives and injured more than 5,000 families, displacing thousands of residents.
Currently, survivors are sheltering in agricultural fields without proper clothing, supplies, or temporary housing. Among the most vulnerable groups are 500 to 2,000 female-headed households in urgent need of aid. Each woman requires approximately $52 to $65 to cover basic survival costs, including shelter and food.
Kauser News Agency has launched a humanitarian appeal urging American citizens, faith-based institutions, and aid organizations to contribute to its Donation Program. Funds will be used to deliver immediate assistance to those most affected by the disaster.
