Islamabad, Pakistan – Thomas Juergen Bielefell, a German diplomat serving as the Second Secretary at the German Embassy in Islamabad, was found dead in his apartment within the Diplomatic Enclave, local authorities confirmed on Monday.
Police were called to the scene after Bielefell was discovered unresponsive in his residence. Officers forced entry into the apartment and found the diplomat’s lifeless body. The Islamabad Police immediately transported the body to a local hospital, where a post-mortem examination is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
Sources close to the investigation told Kauser News Agency’s field reporter, A. Hamidi, that the exact cause of death remains unclear. However, preliminary findings suggest that Bielefell may have previously suffered a minor heart attack, which could have contributed to his death.
Adding complexity to the case, Kauser News Agency’s intelligence reporter learned earlier today that the diplomat may have died under suspicious circumstances, with indications suggesting the possible involvement of violence. This angle has not yet been officially confirmed by authorities.
The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not issued a statement regarding the incident at the time of this report.
Further updates will follow as the investigation unfolds.
