Hoda Khamosh is involved in provoking the arrest of Afghan women with fake photos to try to get people’s attention and credit for her team.
In January-10-2024 She posted a photo with the statement and claimed that “These images show the Taliban torturing and beating the women they arrested from the street and released them again after taking cash and guaranteeing their houses and cars from their families, The say: the Taliban used to whip women’s genitals and places that cannot be depicted.”

A Google image search and X (Twitter) post shows the photo that Khamosh claimed was of a recent incident in Afghanistan, actually came from a November 13, 2016 post on Twitter made by NCRI Women’s Committee Organizations as well as an article on their website regarding a 2016 incident in Iran when a “28-year-old woman was given 80 lashes of the whip for participating in her friend’s birthday party. The young woman had the account of her arrest and flogging published in freelance media, she was arrested at a birthday party two years ago in Mashhad and temporarily detained.”

In 2022, Khamosh demanded the release of Tamana Zaryabi Paryani and Parawana Ibrahimkhel, two female activists who disappeared after their houses were raided on Jan. 20, 2022. They had attended a series of protests by the Taliban over the past few months.
Khamosh was one of six Afghan women who were invited to sit with Taliban officials as they made their first invited visit to a Western country since taking control of Afghanistan in August. Held in Oslo, Norway, the talks were to discuss the humanitarian and economic situations in Afghanistan. Before her statements in Oslo at the end of 2021, she appeared on the BBC’s list of the world’s 100 Women of the Year.
According to an exclusive interview with a few Afghan females arrested in 2022 and a women’s rights activist in Afghanistan, “Hoda Khamosh was Involved in Human Trafficking by the Afghanistan Government and she came from Iran with the support of Mujahedeen Leader Sadat Mahaqiq in Afghanistan”
One of the women interviewed said, “I was working with the ISAF Civil Society Outreach Program from 2007 to 2018. I know her very well. We even submitted a report in 2015 to the ISAF Civil Society Outreach Program and Crime Task Force reporting that we discovered Afghan women living in Iran had been recruited by Iran to return to Afghanistan as spies. They would typically seek to join Afghan civil society organizations and make connections with the Afghan government. Hoda Khamosh’s name was on the list.
One of the sources worked with the Eastern Civil Society Project of the United States Army in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2019 at Bagram Air Force Base. She also confirmed that Hoda Khamosh and a few other women lied to the International Community in 2022 by fabricating threats. Also, they worked closely with the Taliban, and she and her other associates are involved in intentionally provoking arrests of women to get more publicity and donations for her organization.
Naweed Yousufi, Kauser News Intelligence Correspondent, requested comment from Hoda Khamosh. She never responded to phone calls or text messages.
Kauser News Agency Intelligence department correspondent Yousufi and his team have been working since 2022 to track down reports about the provoking of arrests of women in Afghanistan and the activities of Afghan women in exile.
Since 2022, many Afghan women’s rights activists in exile have been involved in provoking arrests and even targeting women in Afghanistan to gain public sympathy, build connections with United Nations and European Parliament members, and increase donations for their non-profit organizations. More than 17 Afghan women’s rights activists in exile continue to target women in Afghanistan. They are hoping to use these provoked arrests as a way to receive invitations to the 68th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) which is scheduled to take place from March 11 to March 22, 2024. According to the official website for the event, “During this session, representatives of Member States and UN entities will convene to discuss and deliberate on the theme. Additionally, International Women’s Day will be observed on March 8, 2024, focusing on the theme ‘Invest in women: Accelerate progress.’ These events aim to rally support for gender equality and the empowerment of women globally, emphasizing the need to invest in women to drive progress and accelerate gender equality measures by 2030.”
