Host: Today we are speaking with young entrepreneur Sohail Hanifi. Sohail, welcome.
Sohail Hanifi: Thank you very much. I’m happy to be here.
Host: Sohail, please tell us a little about your journey. You were born in Herat and today you live in Frankfurt am Main. How has this journey been for you?
Sohail Hanifi: I am 18 years old and I have been living in Germany for about two years and eight months. My journey has not always been easy, but it has made me stronger. After arriving in Germany, I attended 9th and 10th grade and completed my secondary school certificate. At the same time, I studied German intensively and completed language courses up to C1 level.
Host: That is very impressive. What are you doing now?
Sohail Hanifi: Today I attend a high school and I am working toward my Abitur because I believe education is the most important key to a successful future. Alongside school, I also work in a part-time job to take responsibility and become independent.
Host: Besides your studies, you have also started your own business. Can you tell us more about that?
Sohail Hanifi: Yes, entrepreneurship and creativity are my greatest passions. For about one year, I have been working intensively with a friend on our own perfume brand, Lonalt. What started as an idea has become reality. We developed our own fragrances and successfully launched them on the market.
Host: What products does your brand offer?
Sohail Hanifi: We created three fragrances for different moments in life:
Office – fresh and elegant, perfect for work and everyday life.
Date – warm and intense, ideal for special evenings.
Sport – dynamic and energetic, for active days.
Host: That sounds very professional. What motivates you as a young entrepreneur?
Sohail Hanifi: I wanted to prove that age is not a limit. If you have a clear vision and the willingness to work hard, you can achieve great things. Together, we developed concepts, designed our products, planned strategies, and implemented our idea step by step.
Host: You are also interested in technology. Tell us about that.
Sohail Hanifi: Yes, technology is another important part of my life. I studied Apple Swift programming for one year and, together with friends, we developed a motivational app. It was not only about technology but also about helping people support and motivate each other and create something positive together. This project showed me how much you can achieve through teamwork and belief in an idea.
Host: What are your future plans?
Sohail Hanifi: My goal is to grow my business and build a strong brand in the long term. At the same time, I want to make a positive contribution to society, inspire people, and especially motivate young people to believe in their dreams.
Host: What message would you like to give to young people?
Sohail Hanifi: Believe in yourself, work hard, and never give up. No matter where you come from, your future is in your hands. Dreams can become reality if you have the courage to take the first step.
