Muzhda Ahmadi, a member of the Exile Afghan Women’s Network, announced in an interview with Kauser News that a series of protests will be held around the world in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, especially women. The protests, which will take place from August 12-20, 2023, are being organized in response to the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan and the subsequent erosion of human rights, particularly for women and girls.
“We are calling on people around the world to stand with us in solidarity against the Taliban’s oppressive regime,” said Ahmadi. “We will not be silent while our people are being denied their basic rights. We will not give up until the Taliban is held accountable for their crimes.”

The protests are being organized by a coalition of Afghan and international human rights organizations. The organizers are calling for an end to the Taliban’s rule, the restoration of human rights in Afghanistan, and the protection of women and girls.
“We are calling on the international community to take action to hold the Taliban accountable for their crimes,” said Ahmadi. “We will not rest until our people are free.”
