Kauser News Agency Intelligence reporter has been investigating the 031 and 075 Intelligence Departments of Taliban in Kabul are running operation.
Taliban’s use of sleeper cells to target their enemies in the United States. The reporter, who asked to remain anonymous for security reasons, said that they have found evidence that the Taliban is operating a network of sleeper cells in the United States, to target Afghan interpreters and other individuals who worked with U.S. forces in Afghanistan.
The reporter said that the Taliban’s sleeper cells are being run by Hafiz Majeed, the director of the 031 and 075 Intelligence departments of the Taliban in Kabul. Majeed is a known terrorist who has been involved in several attacks against U.S. interests in Afghanistan. The reporter said that Majeed’s sleeper cells are targeting Afghan interpreters and other individuals who worked with U.S. forces in Afghanistan because they see these individuals as traitors.
The reporter said that they reported their findings to the U.S. government in 2022, but they have not received any response. The reporter said that they are concerned that the U.S. government is not taking the threat posed by the Taliban’s sleeper cells seriously enough.
The reporter’s findings are a reminder of the severe threat that the Taliban poses to the United States. The Taliban has a long history of violence and terrorism, and they have shown no signs of changing their ways. The U.S. government must take the threat posed by the Taliban seriously and take steps to protect American citizens from attack.
Kauser News Agency Reach out Taliban Intelligence officer in Kabul on Secure Line from Qatar, “he said The Taliban has rejected claims that it has two secret departments, 031 and 075, that are responsible for carrying out attacks against civilians and government officials. However, a Taliban official has said that these departments do exist and that they are getting orders and funding from an unknown source. The officer also said that the GDI Taliban Intelligence office does not control these departments”.
Former Afghan Government NDS officer Said: “The Taliban’s denial of the existence of Departments 031 and 075 is not surprising. The group has a history of denying responsibility for attacks, even when there is clear evidence that it was involved. In this case, the Taliban may be trying to deflect attention away from the attacks and to avoid international condemnation.”
There is a potential risk that the Afghan Adjustment Act could be exploited by Taliban sleeper cells to gain access to the United States. The bill would provide a pathway to permanent residency for Afghans who were evacuated from Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover in 2021. While the bill would require extensive vetting, it is possible that some Taliban supporters could slip through the cracks.
If Taliban sleeper cells were able to gain permanent residency in the United States, they could pose a threat to national security. They could potentially carry out terrorist attacks or gather intelligence on US military and government operations.
