Washington, D.C. — In the aftermath of the 27 November incident, community advocate Samim Alokozay (Samim Yawar) highlighted what he called a historic moment: for the first time, large groups of Afghan-American citizens of Tajik, Uzbek, and Hazara background publicly organized to condemn the Taliban, insurgent violence, and any form of extremism.
According to Yawar, this unified stance demonstrates that many Afghanistan-American communities remain committed to democracy, rule of law, and the security of the United States.
Community Response After the Incident
Following the November event, Afghan-American groups across multiple states expressed solidarity with the victims and reaffirmed their support for U.S. institutions. Community members released statements offering sympathy, condolences, and cooperation with American authorities.
Yawar noted that these communities wanted to clearly communicate that they reject the Taliban, extremist ideology, and any individuals who misuse the name of Afghanistan to threaten others.
Concerns Raised About Security Issues
A four-year review by Kauser News Agency’s research unit documented concerns involving a number of evacuees who arrived in the United States in 2021. The report identifies approximately 62 individuals who, according to public records and community reports, have engaged in threatening or destabilizing behavior that could raise national security concerns.
The research stresses that these cases represent individual actions, not entire communities, and calls for proper investigation by U.S. authorities to ensure the safety of the public and the integrity of the resettlement process.
Samim Yawar Calls for Unity and Responsibility
Yawar’s team issued a message urging all Afghanistan-Americans—regardless of language or ethnic background—to:
- Support U.S. law enforcement and national security agencies
- Reject extremist rhetoric and online threats
- Promote peace, civic responsibility, and truthful representation of their communities
Yawar emphasized that Tajik, Uzbek, and Hazara Afghanistan-Americans stand firmly with the United States in the global fight against terrorism and violent extremism. He added that these communities “believe in justice, democracy, and the values that protect innocent people everywhere.”
Kauser News Agency will continue monitoring developments and providing verified reporting on security-related matters connected to the Afghan diaspora.
