Kabul, Afghanistan —
The Afghanistan Reform Organization (ARO), a political and humanitarian movement dedicated to peace, democracy, and social justice, calls for an immediate ceasefire between Afghanistan and Pakistan to prevent further loss of innocent lives and ensure regional stability.
In recent months, escalating tensions along the border have resulted in tragic civilian casualties, displacement of families, and the destruction of local infrastructure. The ARO believes that no political disagreement or territorial dispute justifies the suffering of ordinary people on both sides of the border.
“The safety of human life must come before political interests,” stated a spokesperson for the organization. “We urge both governments to open direct communication channels and pursue diplomatic dialogue instead of armed confrontation. Civilians—especially women and children—must not be made the victims of political or military conflicts.”
The Afghanistan Reform Organization emphasizes that peace and cooperation are essential for the prosperity of South Asia. The organization proposes that the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and other international mediators facilitate a peace dialogue to restore trust and mutual understanding between the two nations.
As a movement, ARO continues to advocate for regional peace, democratic reform, and human security as the foundation for a better future. The organization invites civil society, community leaders, and international partners to stand together in support of an Afghanistan-Pakistan ceasefire and the protection of all human lives.
