A recent investigation by Kauser News Agency has uncovered a coordinated pattern of online harassment targeting Afghan girls and women on TikTok. The findings point to a group of users who repeatedly use TikTok livestreams to insult, intimidate, and degrade Afghan female users.
Incident on Livestream Hosted by “Atash136”
During a TikTok livestream hosted by a user known as Atash136, two participants — identified online as Rustam and Balkhi — allegedly directed abusive and degrading remarks toward Afghan female users.

A Kauser News Agency social media investigator, who was monitoring the livestream as part of an ongoing digital-safety project, left a professional comment on the live chat and later sent an inbox message to Mr. Rustam to request clarification about the abusive behavior.
Instead of responding, Mr. Rustam immediately blocked the journalist’s access to the livestream. Shortly after, he also blocked the official Kauser News Agency reporter account, preventing further monitoring of the incident on TikTok.

Escalation to Authorities
Following these actions, Kauser News Agency formally notified:
- Bundeskriminalamt (BKA), Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office
- Federal Ministry of the Interior (MOI / BMI), responsible for security and digital crime matters
The agency emphasized that the pattern of harassment appears organized and persistent, raising concerns about digital safety, gender-based intimidation, and potential violations of German online-abuse and cyber-harassment laws.
A Growing Problem for Afghan Women Online
Afghan female users across social media platforms have increasingly reported harassment, defamation, and threats. TikTok, due to its live-interaction features, has become a hotspot for such misuse.
Digital safety observers warn that these incidents can escalate into:
- Targeted harassment campaigns
- Psychological harm
- Online mob attacks
- Gender-based digital violence
Kauser News Agency states that it will continue to document these incidents and work with authorities to ensure accountability and safety for Afghan content creators—especially women.
TikTok’s Responsibility
While TikTok provides reporting tools and community-guideline enforcement, investigators argue that the platform must do more to monitor livestream harassment and prevent repeat offenders from hosting abusive sessions.
Users are encouraged to report abusive behavior directly to TikTok’s Safety Center.
