USA — Afghan-American TikTok creator Ms. Rais Gul (@raisgol22) — who has over 21,000 followers — has reported receiving threatening phone calls from an individual claiming to be a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent.
According to Ms. Rais Gul, the caller identified himself as an FBI agent and used the phone number (209) 281-1973. During the call, he allegedly threatened to arrest her “soon” without providing any official credentials, case information, or lawful basis for such claims.
This incident marks the third case in the past months that Kauser News Agency has documented involving social media intimidation against Afghan women residing in the United States.
Public Response and Ongoing Concern
Ms. Rais Gul has publicly urged federal law enforcement agencies in the United States to investigate this matter and protect her from further harassment. She shared her account during a live TikTok interview with a Kauser News Agency reporter, where she described the emotional toll of the threats.
During the same livestream, a user with the handle hamidparwani160 posted comments

threatening to “expose all her sexual videos

and social media content” if she did not

comply with unspecified demands. These messages were visible to her audience and further escalated the situation.
Broader Pattern of Online Harassment
The threats against Ms. Rais Gul highlight a disturbing pattern of targeted intimidation of Afghan women on social media platforms, including:
- False claims of law enforcement affiliation
- Extortion and sexual coercion
- Public attempts to shame or blackmail female creators
These incidents reflect how some individuals are weaponizing online platforms to harass and control vulnerable users, particularly women from immigrant communities.
